More than a decade ago, Charter for Excellence (CFE) Management Group was created as part of the start-up process for the first Legacy Traditional School, which opened in Maricopa.
Over time, what was once a name on the Maricopa campus charter school application, has evolved into a company that has helped to build, manage and expand Legacy schools with academic and curriculum support, marketing, food services, facilities maintenance, IT support, and much more.
As Legacy Traditional Schools has grown to 16 campuses for the 2018-2019 school year, so too has CFE grown. Today, nearly 120 employees, dedicated to supporting Legacy Traditional Schools, now work for the organization.
Recently, the leadership team of CFE and the founders felt, given the current and future growth of the organization, the time was right to retire the name CFE Management Group, and adopt a new name: Vertex Education. Vertex was selected because it refers to the summit of a mountain, and it reflects our continued commitment to helping schools and students reach a higher level of academic excellence.
As of June 11, 2018, the name CFE Management Group will be replaced by Vertex Education. Vertex Education will continue to operate in its current capacity, as a service provider to Legacy Traditional Schools.
We are so excited to take this giant step forward in our growth as a company, and in the continued pursuit of our core purpose, to change lives through education.
