San Jose Police Department Company

Rich in culture and tradition with a proud history of serving a diverse community, the San Jose Police Department is driven by its mission to promote public safety, prevent crime, and to create and maintain strong community partnerships. The Department employs over 900 police officers in four Bureaus, comprised of eleven divisions, with more than fifty specialized assignments such as Homicide, Robbery, Crime Scene, SWAT, Traffic Enforcement, School Resources, Canines, Tactical Negotiations, and Air Support.

The City of San Jose, known as the Capital of Silicon Valley, is located in Northern California, approximately 50 miles south of San Francisco. With a population of over one million people, San Jose is the 10th largest city in the nation.
