About Resource Data

What We Do

Resource Data provides custom technical solutions to clients across all industries. Our solutions include services in software development, GIS, project management, business analysis, and system engineering. One of our employees said it best: “Our work is to solve problems for our clients. We make things work better.”

Office Culture

Consulting relies on people making good decisions independently of defined protocols, processes, or established procedures. Our culture – how we act and what we do – is critical to our success. Although we may talk about company events and office perks, the most important part of our culture is the people. You’ll see that reflected when interviewing with us because, when you join Resource Data, you become a contributor to our culture.

Our employees are great individually, but they’re even better as a team. That is true at the local office and across offices. We call it “One Resource Data.” It means when there are needs in one office, anybody can help, regardless of location. Not only does this make us more successful as a business, it provides clients greater access to technical expertise.

To share knowledge across the company, we regularly hold virtual roundtable discussions. These informal discussions provide insight into technologies and projects that others are using across the company.

Each branch typically also throws a couple parties annually for employees. Around the winter holidays it will usually be a more formal dinner party for employees and a guest. In the summer the branch will often do something less formal, such as a picnic, that entire families can join in.

Work site can vary depending on the client or the project, but we try and provide a home at our offices for all employees. Our office configurations typically feature semi-private offices that seat 1-3 people per office. We also provide excellent VPN access so that employees have access to system resources whether they are at home or at a client site. All employees are issued laptops and whatever other peripherals they require to do their work effectively.

Building a Career

A career in consulting is challenging and rewarding. The environment we work in is unique; it can provide unmatched flexibility and opportunity for advancement, but there isn’t always a clear path forward. For most successful consultants at Resource Data, the best way to advance is through gaining diversity of experience through project assignments.

Most of our career tracks have three tiers: junior, senior, and expert.

• Junior level staff are usually early in their career or are making a career transition. Staff at this level spend time gaining core knowledge of consulting and their chosen discipline

• Senior level staff have a broader range of experience and technical depth. They can work in a wide variety of projects at Resource Data and usually are starting to take on more diverse roles and exploring where they want to focus their careers

• Expert level staff have settled in to a career path and are honing their craft. Not only can they take on a diverse set of projects, but they have demonstrated leadership abilities in their area of expertise, as well

We offer the following career tracks: Software Development, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Project Management, Business Analysis, and System Engineering.
