Orthopedic Institute, an independent physician group specializing in orthopedics, was founded in 1972 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The group has steadily grown in size and scope, today with 16 physicians and over 175 employees. Orthopedic Institute is the largest orthopedic specialty group in the region. In addition to general orthopedics, areas of focus include spine, sports medicine, total joint, upper extremity, foot and ankle, pediatrics, physical medicine, and pain management.
