NHS-Northstar was founded with the purpose of helping the developmentally disabled population live in a community-based setting while still having the supports necessary to thrive.

Over the past 30 years, our agency has continued to grow and expand. Today, we are company of approximately 300 employees, operating 27 residential facilities, 30 in-home family support programs, and serving over 115 ARMHS clients. We have become a leader in the use of advanced technology to complement the compassionate care for which we are known.

While our business has grown and changed over the years, our personal care and commitment to our consumers hasn’t – we are the stewards of our consumer’s trust and we take that trust seriously. Through diversification, we continue to be a leader in our industry by providing a high standard of services to meet the changing needs of the individuals we serve throughout Northeastern Minnesota.
