montgomery hospice
Montgomery Hospice unites doctors, nurses, home health aides, counselors and trained volunteers into care teams that provide comprehensive comfort care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.
Our entire team can visit patients wherever they live. This includes private homes and extended care facilities, such as assisted living centers or nursing homes.
Our medical and nursing care focuses on reducing pain, nausea or other symptoms common at the end of life.
Montgomery Hospice counselors and social workers help patients and families understand how an illness will progress, and how to comfort the patient at home. We also can help patients and families with difficult conversations or with personal or family conflicts.
We offer spiritual support to people of any faith background. Our spiritual counselors help people find comfort and answers that fit the patient or family's beliefs.
Montgomery Hospice volunteers can run errands and visit with patients to give families a break; give soothing hand massages to ease stress; or help patients and families with email, letters or memoirs.
Our bereavement counselors offer grief care to hospice families for more than a year after a patient has died. We offer face-to-face comfort through workshops and discussion groups. We also keep in touch with bereaved people through regular mailings of self-help materials.
