The company's research areas include customer loyalty and satisfaction, employee satisfaction surveys, and retail pricing. Its Maritz Poll measures consumer opinions and attitudinal behaviors and is reported on CNN, Reuters, USA TODAY and other major media outlets. Maritz Research operates through about a dozen offices in the US, Canada, Germany, and the UK, and its clients have included Bank of America, Pizza Hut, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and General Motors. Founded in 1973, Maritz Research is a subsidiary of motivational marketing firm Maritz. In 2011 Maritz Research upped its reach internationally through the purchase of Imagin AG, a German-based marketing research firm specializing in shareholder relations and feedback. The deal also allowed Maritz Research to purchase Imagin's subsidiary, Customer Care International, a call center operator with expertise in collecting customer feedback. The deal accelerated Maritz's growth in Europe.
