With campuses in Madison, Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg and Watertown, Madison College serves more than 40,000 students throughout a 12-county district in southcentral Wisconsin. The second-largest institution in the Wisconsin Technical College System, Madison College has earned national distinction for providing “Real-world Smart” education through a comprehensive curriculum that includes technical and liberal arts education, adult basic education, continuing education and customized training for employers.
Madison College offers 144 diverse career programs and certificates in cutting-edge areas such as biotechnology, event marketing, digital forensics, sustainability and mobile application development. The college has 134 program-to-program, flexible credit agreements with 30 four-year universities that grant students full credit toward a bachelor’s degree. More students transfer from Madison College to the University of Wisconsin-Madison than from any other institution in the state.
Thanks to public support for a $133.7 million building referendum, a new Health Education Center, Protective Services Education Center, Innovation Center and Campus Gateway will open in 2013.
