Lone Star Credit Union Company
Lone Star Credit Union
Lone Star Credit Union started in 1967 as Lone Star Gas Employees Federal Credit Union serving the employees of the Lone Star Gas Company.
Throughout the next 45 years, our credit union underwent a couple of name changes and mergers, becoming Lone Star Credit Union in the year 2000, adding our Greenville, Texas branch in 1990 and our Terrell, TX branch in 2003.
Today, we serve over 10,000 members and 30 employee groups throughout Texas. We offer membership to those who live or work in six Texas counties, including Delta, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Rains and Rockwall, as well as those who live or work within a 10-mile radius of our Dallas branch location.
We offer an array of products found at other financial institutions such as checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, youth accounts, and many types of loans including auto loans, mortgages, home equity loans, and personal loans. But, as a not-for-profit cooperative, our members are not just customers, they are owners of LSCU!
This means we can offer lower loan rates than most of our bank competitors, not to mention more personal service.
