Legacy Health System strives to create a legacy of positive health in the Portland/Vancouver metropolitan area and mid-Willamette Valley, Ore. A not-for-profit provider of health care services in Oregon and Washington, the health system operates 6 medical centers (including Legacy Emanuel and Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Centers) and provides dedicated children's care. Legacy Health has more than 1,000 total beds and its facilities provide such services as acute and critical care, behavioral health, and outpatient and health education programs. It also operates home health, hospice, and research facilities; emergency transportation helicopters; and a number of regional clinics and labs.
