Juneau School District
The Juneau School District is home to approximately 4,800 public school students. It is the fifth largest district in the State of Alaska. The District has six elementary schools; two middle schools, two medium sized high schools, an alternative high school, a Pre-K-8 Montessori School and a K-8 Charter School. Other District programs include the HomeBRIDGE home school, a residential youth facility and the Tlingit Culture, Language and Literacy (TCLL) program.
One in five of the district’s students are of Alaska Native heritage.
