The International School of Music with 2 locations in Bethesda brings together a community of dedicated, experienced, world-renowned faculty that offers personalized and nurturing lessons in piano, guitar, voice, violin, viola, cello, flute, drums, saxophone, clarinet, harp, recorder, trumpet, trombone, horn, baritone, oboe, bassoon to students of all ages, levels and abilities.
In addition to private instruction in all instruments and voice, we offer early childhood music program, program for adult students, chamber ensembles, summer camps, diploma/certificate program, and over 80 performances a year, including honors concerts at the Carnegie Hall in NY.
The International School of Music was founded in 2004 and since then we have developed a program where now over 1,500 students come each week for private lessons and we have over 100 teachers on faculty.
ISM is proud to be the Bethesda center for the Piano Guild governed by the American College of Musicians as well as an active member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education. For the last nine years straight we have been acknowledged with the "Best of Bethesda" awards.
We have two thriving locations: one in Northern Bethesda behind Montgomery Mall and one closer to DC on Sangamore Rd., which allow us to serve families from all over the Bethesda, Washington, DC, Chevy Chase, Potomac and Rockville areas.
