HollyFrontier Company

Originally incorporated in 1947 under the name General Appliance Corporation, the company became Holly Corporation in 1952. The corporation initially concentrated its oil and gas exploration efforts in the Southwestern U.S., later expanding with acquisitions of new companies and new refineries. In 2011, Holly Corporation and Frontier Oil merged, forming the current HollyFrontier Corporation. The company currently operates five complex refineries, each in a different state, and has the capacity to produce 443,000 barrels of processed crude oil per day. Subsidiaries of HollyFrontier produce and market such products as specialty lubricants, asphalt, gasoline, diesel, heavy products, and jet fuel. As one of the largest independent petroleum refiners in the country, HollyFrontier Corporation is an exciting place to work.
