Hill Crest Behavioral Health Services is the only free-standing, full-service psychiatric hospital in the Birmingham area. Our campus-like setting provides an active, positive treatment environment for patients and their families. Drawing from a rich tradition in treating psychiatric illness for almost 100 years, Hill Crest remains on the cutting edge of new developments. Our behavioral health hospital serves adolescents and adults suffering from mental illness, emotional problems and behavioral issues. A no-cost assessment is completed by a mental health professional. Admission is based on clinical need.

Hill Crest manages distinct programs in adolescent and adult psychiatry. We offer adolescent residential programs and intensive adolescent therapeutic group homes located in Jefferson County. Hill Crest also provides a 10-month school program allowing continuance of any educational curriculum.
