Greater Bridgeport Transit Company

The Office of the Governor, State of Connecticut, is filled by the state's top executive official. Besides supervising the administration of state laws, the governor is also tasked with appointing commissions of departments and trustees, recommending budgets for the legislature, and signing or vetoing bills. Additionally, the governor sets policy with executive orders and has the power to declare emergencies. The Governor's Arts, Heritage Preservation and Tourism Awards honor accomplishments in the arts, historic preservation, tourism, hospitality education, and other endeavors.
