Foster Farms Company

Foster Farms
Foster Farms is a United States West Coast poultry company. The company has been privately owned and operated by the Foster family since 1939. The company is based in Livingston, California, with operations throughout the West Coast and a few on the East Coast. The company specializes in a variety of chicken and turkey products advertised as fresh and naturally locally grown.
It doesn't matter if Henny Penny is having hot flashes, Foster Poultry Farms never uses hormones (nor does it inject salt water into its birds to plump them up). The company is a top US poultry processor. Vertically integrated, it takes chickens and turkeys from the incubator to grocers' meat cases, delis, and freezers. It sells some 750 poultry products mostly under the Foster Farms brand. In addition to the retail market, Foster Poultry supplies prepared foods to the foodservice industry, including restaurant and other hospitality operators. The family-owned and -operated company was started in 1939 by Max and Verda Foster. The family also owns and operates sister company Foster Dairy Farms.
