About DDB

Advertising is whassup at DDB Worldwide Communications Group. One of the world's top creative ad agencies, the company has produced memorable spots for such brands as  McDonald's ("I'm lovin' it"),  Avis ("We Try Harder"), Budweiser ("Whassup"), and Life Cereal ("Hey, Mikey"). It offers such services as brand building and consulting, campaign planning and management, and effectiveness measurement services in addition to creative ad development. The firm operates through more than 200 offices in about 90 countries. Founded in 1949 by Ned Doyle, Maxwell Dane, and William Bernbach, DDB Worldwide Communications is one of the flagship agencies of global media conglomerate Omnicom Group. DDB Worldwide Communications provides services beyond traditional marketing through several subsidiaries, including interactive agency Tribal DDB, DDB UK, and Hispanic advertising unit ALMA DDB. Spike DDB, a joint venture with film director Spike Lee, offers urban marketing services. The agency also offers health care branding and advertising through DDB Healthcare and entertainment advertising through The Ant Farm. Doyle Dane Bernbach landed one of its first national accounts, Polaroid, in 1954 and later helped spur interest in the Volkswagen Beetle with its "Think Small" campaign. The agency joined forces with rivals BBDO Worldwide and Needham Harper Worldwide in 1986 to form Omnicom and began operating under the new banner DDB Needham. In 1999 the firm changed its name again to DDB Worldwide Communications.
