Communities In Schools of Northern Virginia (CIS NoVa) is a local affiliate of the nationally recognized Communities In Schools organization which is the nation's leading community-based organization helping kids succeed in school and prepare for life. For more than two decades, CIS, the nation's largest stay-in-school network, has promoted access to comprehensive social and support services for more than 1 million children and their families in 1,500 education sites in 32 states and 243 school districts throughout the country.
