Columbus Humane Company

Columbus Humane has been serving the Columbus community since 1883, sheltering homeless animals, fighting animal cruelty and neglect, and offering programs and services to address the needs of people and animals. We adopt homeless cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets into loving homes. We accept owner-surrendered companion animals for rehoming along with stray animals from within Franklin County. We are the lead agency for investigating animal cruelty in Franklin County, enforcing the Ohio Revised Code in regards to animal cruelty, neglect and abandonment. We provide support for overcrowded shelters in Southern Ohio and act as a resource for people in need. We are recognized as a national expert in animal welfare, and we are an amazing place to work.
