Bonnell Aluminum Company

Bonnell Aluminum
William L Bonnell's future is shaping up--as in shaping up aluminum products. William L. Bonnell's extrusion operations include a handful of plants that make products and components used in industries including building materials, automotive parts, and agricultural machinery. Bonnell sells its products unfinished, coated, or painted to distributors and fabricators. The commercial building and construction industry accounts for about 65% of the company's sales, while residential constructions accounts for more than 15%. Bonnell, which was founded in 1955, is a unit of Tredegar Corporation. The company scaled back its operations in Canada with the sale of its Bon L Canada (aluminum, fiberglass, and wooden ladders) and Apolo Tool and Die Manufacturing units to Signature Aluminum in 2008. Tredegar will use the money to fund the expansion of its Carthage, Tennessee manufacturing facility.
