BGC Partners Company

BGC Partners is an American global financial services company based in New York City. Originally formed as part of the larger Cantor Fitzgerald organization, BGC Partners became its own entity in 2004.

BGC Partners provides inter-dealer brokerage services for banks, investment firms, and other institutional traders around the world. Through its eSpeed and BGC Trader-branded platform, it offers voice, electronic, and hybrid trade brokerage for a broad range of financial products including government and corporate bonds, interest rate swaps, foreign exchange, derivatives, and futures. The company also provides processing, clearing, and settlement services, as well as market data and analytics products. BGC Partners was established by Cantor Fitzgerald, which controls more than half of the company. (BGC is named after Cantor Fitzgerald founder B. Gerald Cantor.)
