Whether Peach or Palmetto, AnMed Health system can meet your health care needs. The health care organization serves residents of western South Carolina and northeast Georgia with more than 30 health care sites. Its flagship facility is the 460-bed acute care AnMed Health Medical Center. The system also features a 70-bed all private-room Women's and Children's Hospital and a 40-bed Rehabilitation Hospital. Specialties include cancer care, general and specialized diagnostic, surgical, and treatment services. The organization also provides emergency and trauma care. Founded in 1908, AnMed has affiliations agreements with Cannon Memorial Hospital and Carolinas HealthCare System. The agreements -- which were formed in late 2009 -- created a health care network through which the three entities can share resources. Under the agreement, AnMed manages the 55-bed Cannon Memorial's operations and in turn, AnMed joined Carolinas HealthCare's network of 29 hospitals located throughout North and South Carolina. The affiliation gives AnMed patients access to enhanced treatment options for heart disease, cancer, pediatrics, and women's services.
