The Absentee Shawnee Tribe is primarily located in the heart of central Oklahoma with approximately 3,400+ members living in all parts of the world. Our tribal government complex is located in Shawnee Oklahoma. The Absentee Shawnee Tribe has multiple facilities including Gaming, Childcare, and Health Care. The Little Axe Health Center is located close to Norman Oklahoma. Currently it provides culturally-sensitive, quality health care for American Indians and Alaska Natives. This facility offers Health Care, Dental Care, Vision, and Behavior Health Care. We partner with eligible patients and co-workers by improving their health status with respect and dignity, promoting healthy lifestyles that impact their family and community and insuring respect for their culture, tradition, and beliefs.
